A short psychological thriller
Remember Me is a student thesis film written and produced by Pierce Jackson M. at Marymount Manhattan College, where it was shown May 2023 in completion of the Digital Media & Video Production BA degree. Focusing on the potential symptoms of repressed and complex trauma as well as common coping mechanisms such as substance abuse and avoidance, this film has it all packed into 10 minutes.

This film was written to be an example of how to represent mental illness within the horror genre without profiting off of villainizing an already misunderstood community, making monsters based off of individuals who are hiding from monsters. Mental illness is an incredibly complex topic, and arguably impossible to nail down due to how many unique events contribute to a single perspective. I don't claim this to be the perfect representation, but a much more realistic and in depth look at how complex trauma can fracture into different symptoms and ultimately different experiences.
